I have my 45 hour DCF certification for child care and teaching certification. I have one year experience in working with children from ages 1 year through 18 through substitute teaching (preschool through high school) and tutoring (predominately reading and writing). I also taught kindergartners in an educational summer camp program. I work a 9-5 as an insurance broker for employee benefits and I also sing in a band. In addition, I play guitar, bass guitar, and write teen fiction novels. I also have my BS degree in psychology from UCF where I took classes including developmental psychology which has been helpful in working with children.

Hobbies

I am family-oriented, energetic, patient and passionate person who loves teaching and working with children. I taught and tutored for a year, but had to switch due to financial reasons. I currently work a 9-5 but still want to educate and care for kids. I am the vocalist and lyricist for a band; I also play acoustic guitar, bass guitar and write original songs. I enjoy running, bike riding, rollerblading, and spending time with my family. I also write teen fiction.
